Dean's Message

Legacy of Excellence, Compassionate Leadership: Connecting Globally, Inspiring New Momentum in Education.

Founded in 1955, the College of Education at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) has long remained steadfast in its mission: exploring educational frontiers, nurturing exceptional talent, pursuing truth, and enhancing human well-being. We continue to serve as a pivotal force driving the advancement of education in Taiwan. In an era of rapid technological change, we strive not only for academic excellence but also for the advancement of visionary educational practices. Building upon the foundation laid by the 18th Dean, I aspire to work hand-in-hand with our faculty and students to pioneer innovations rooted in tradition and to pursue profound growth through professional excellence.

Compassionate Leadership: Empowering Every Individual through Care

I have always believed that the essence of education lies in “Love and Exemplarity.” While pursuing academic distinction, our College is committed to fostering an environment of psychological resilience and a profound sense of belonging. We value the well-being of our faculty in their research and teaching, supporting them in finding passion and balance across academia and industry collaboration. More importantly, we cherish the uniqueness and diverse needs of every student. Our goal is not only to cultivate their competitiveness but to accompany them as they develop the courage to meet future challenges.

Global Connections: Deepening Asia-Pacific Roots, Leading Worldwide

Our College has consistently ranked among the world’s elite in international education assessments. These rankings are more than just honors; they are a testament to our strength in driving internationalization and social service. Moving forward, we will further deepen our international collaborative networks through organizations such as the Asia-Pacific Association for Teacher Education (APATE). We aim to establish our College as a global hub for educational innovation, exerting a substantial impact on international society. Simultaneously, we are dedicated to expanding our students’ global horizons through dual-degree programs, overseas internships, and exchange initiatives, ensuring that students from the NTNU College of Education can shine in every corner of the world.

Alumni Resources: Inheriting Experience, Achieving Sustainable Prosperity

Our alumni are among the College’s most precious assets. Their outstanding achievements in schools, academia, and diverse industries serve as the finest examples for our current students. We will continue to optimize our alumni engagement platforms, creating a synergy between the rich experience of our graduates and the innovative research energy of the College through industry-academic partnerships. By connecting these exceptional resources, we aim to fulfill our social responsibilities and co-create sustainable value for the betterment of education.

“Driven by Purpose, Empowered by Passion”—this is not only the momentum for personal growth but also the inexhaustible source of our educational innovation. With professional wisdom and sincere care, we will safeguard our original intentions and continue to strive for the enhancement of educational well-being. Together, we shall embark on this new chapter for the College of Education.
