International Degree Program

International students who meet the requirements of the "Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan" of the Ministry of Education may apply for degree programs directly from the International Affairs Office.

Overseas Chinese Students


Identification

criteria:
1. Was born and remain outside Taiwan up to the date of application; or remain outside Taiwan for the last 6 consecutive years (It is 8 years for Medical, Dental and Chinese Medicine Departments).
2. Holding a permanent/ long-term residence certificate of your current resident nation.
The identity of overseas Chinese students shall be identified by the Overseas Community Affairs Council.

University Entrance Committee for Mainland Chinese Students is a joint external channel for Taiwan colleges and universities to open admissions to China. It is also the only channel for students from Mainland China to study for bachelor, master, and doctor in Taiwan and at National Taiwan University. There are detailed application for information and related methods in the website of the " University Entrance Committee for Students from Mainland China.".

Eligibility
Undergraduate Programs 開放設籍北京、上海、浙江、江蘇、福建、廣東、湖北及遼寧參加當年度8省市高考取得成績。
Graduate Programs 開放設籍北京、上海、江蘇、浙江、福建、廣東、湖北、遼寧（只開放8省市是大陸方面限制的）及採認大陸地區155校 或國外承認校申請，戶籍+學歷，2個條件要同時優先成立（缺一不可）。

Application Procedure After nominated by the home university, the students will receive their own link and passwords for the online application. For nomination, please consult your home university's related offices.
Nomination Period Fall Entry（September）：Before Mar. 10th
Spring Entry（January）：Before Aug. 15th
Online Application Period Fall Entry（September）：Mar. 1st－Apr. 30th
Spring Entry（January）：Sep. 1st－Oct. 31st

│短訪計畫　Short-term Visiting Program

Students who visit for less than 6 months

Program Information Students who come to our college for short-term research or internship can participate in this program and be under guidance of our faculty member for research or internship.
Students participating in this program are unable to enroll in NTNU courses official and will not receive student ID cards.
Eligibility
  • Foreign students who are enrolled in overseas universities or academic institutions to study formal degrees. University students must apply for internships required by their home university to fulfill their graduation requirements.
  • Overseas universities or academic institutions must be one of the following:
    • Must be listed by Ministry of Education in the Database for the Reference List of Foreign Universities（click）。
    • Universities in China or Hong Kong and Macau. However, students from Mainland China who are currently studying in China should first consult with their home university for approval in advance, or to know if any seniors from the same university who have participated in the program to share more experience.
Program Duration The short-term visit can meet the needs of each person for more than 1 month to less than 6 months.
However, according to the Visa issuance regulations, the duration for this program cannot be over 6 months.
Find a Supervisor It is recommended that you contact the desired faculty member to be your supervisor before applying for this program. The easiest way is to browse the personal websites of the faculty member and learn about their research fields, interests and experiences. Please download the program overview on the left, click on each department or program websites, and inquire about our faculty members in each department/institutes.
